Founded in 1975, Amancio Ortega and Rosalia Mera created this international Spanish clothing and accessories company that would soon sweep the world. Zara is owned by the largest apparel retailer, Inditex. It is said that Zara has a zero advertising policy, focusing on store openings verses advertising. Daniel Piette, fashion director of Louis Vuitton, has said that Zara is “possibly the most innovative and devastating retailer in the world.” The first store was opened in Spain and held copies of high-end clothing fashions. By 1990, Zara stores were in the United States and France, adding Mexico, Belgium, and Sweden throughout the 90s. Now Zara stores are in over 88 countries and over 2000 stores. Zara clothing includes mens, womens, shoes, accessories, and a children’s line. The first online boutique launched in 2010 in the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, and France. Towards the end of that year, Zara Online included Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Austria. Then by the next year, the United States and South Korea were included. Zara now only makes fully toxic-free products after a controversy in 2011. A number of celebrities are known to wear Zara, including Dutchess Kate Middleton, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, and Casper Smart.

Beautifull!
What controversy in 2011?
I’m actually also quite curious to know what the controversy was?
Haha everyone else is too they once were said to have used toxic chemicals in there fabrics so they completely shut down that line and started an ad free totally natural fabric line and it became a huge hit ever since and they were also said to be having slave holders
Oh wow that does sound disturbing! Good thing they sorted it out cause I love Zara haha 🙂
❤ Zara! Fantastic post!
Love these pieces! Can’t wait to buy them!
In love with this collection!
Oh me too lol honestly I probably wouldn’t stop buying the clothes just ignore the news lol
thanks for the follow! 🙂 Your blog is amazing! i’d enjoy reading it very much 🙂 x
I like some Zara pieces too but the only problem: the price. Except for the sales (again some pieces. And the one you liked were already sold out before the sales), I really can’t afford them for I’m unemployed.
I love this yet I nevertheless find anything in Zara. Great post though!

Amancio Ortega is the richest man in fashion, and 3rd richest person in the world, according to Forbes. $64 billion…
I love Zara, they were one of the few high street retailers who had my perfect fit for long pants when I was still a size 10. The good old days, hope I get there again. Lovely
I love Zara! They’re having an amazing clearance right now and I just picked up some great pieces for fall for next to nothing. Can’t wait to see the new collection in stores.
